We track your flight in real time using your flight number. If you land late, your chauffeur automatically adjusts — no calls needed and no extra cost. 90 minutes of free waiting are included from your actual landing time. Beyond 90 minutes, a surcharge of ¥2,500 per 30 min (Alphard) or ¥3,000 per 30 min (Hiace) applies.

Is Meet & Greet at the arrivals hall included?

Yes, it is 100% complimentary. Your chauffeur will be standing in the arrivals hall with a personalised name board bearing your name. Luggage assistance is also included at no extra charge.

Are highway tolls and parking fees included?

Accepted Answer

Standard tolls and airport parking for the confirmed itinerary are included. Additional stops, changed routes and extra waiting are reviewed separately. Card payments carry a disclosed 5% processing fee.

How many passengers and suitcases fit?

Accepted Answer

Toyota Alphard: up to 6 passengers; luggage capacity varies with occupancy. Toyota Hiace Grand Cabin: up to 9 passengers and 15 standard suitcases. Final fit depends on the passenger count and luggage dimensions, so please declare golf bags, strollers, wheelchairs and oversized items before confirmation.

Can I pay cash inside the car?

Yes. Cash payment inside the vehicle is accepted. You can also register a credit card before your trip for automatic billing via Stripe. Corporate clients may request a bank transfer.

Do your drivers speak English?

Accepted Answer

Yes. All bookings are fully supported in English. Our drivers have working English for day-to-day communication. For complex conversations we use translation tools to assist.

Do you operate 24/7?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We operate around the clock, 365 days a year. A flat late-night / early-morning surcharge of ¥3,000 per trip applies when any part of your journey falls between 22:00 and 06:00 (JST); it is always included in your quotation upfront.

Where exactly will the driver meet me?

In the arrivals hall, after customs and baggage claim. Your chauffeur will be holding a name board with your name. Please do not exit the terminal before finding your driver.

Typically 50–70 minutes. Allow up to 90 minutes during peak hours or if there is an accident on the expressway.

Should I exchange my JR Pass at the airport?

We recommend exchanging at major Tokyo stations (Tokyo, Shinjuku, Shibuya) where queues are minimal. Airport counters can have 1–2 hour waits. Your driver can take you to a station counter after drop-off if needed.

Yes. Please notify us at booking with the wheelchair type (foldable / electric / dimensions) so we can assign a suitable vehicle.

No. Tipping is not customary in Japan and is never expected by our chauffeurs. A kind word or an online review is the best way to show your appreciation.

Octoshell Japan suits families with children or older relatives who want a direct airport-to-accommodation journey without changing vehicles with their luggage. Share child-seat, stroller and mobility needs before confirmation. A solo traveller with light luggage and a convenient rail or bus route may prefer public transport.

Alphard or Hiace for a group of 5–9?

Accepted Answer

Alphard carries up to 6 passengers; Hiace Grand Cabin up to 9. Seven to nine passengers need a Hiace to travel in one vehicle. For five or six, suitcase sizes, strollers and child seats may make Hiace the better choice. Passenger and luggage maxima are not simultaneous guarantees; our team confirms the actual load before booking.

What should I check before accepting the fare?

Confirm both addresses, vehicle, date and time, stops and payment method. The table gives one-way base fares for Tokyo’s 23 wards. Check the ¥3,000 night supplement, waiting beyond 90 minutes after landing, and the 5% card-processing fee. Your written quotation should identify the itinerary and applicable charges before you agree.

What happens if immigration takes longer than expected?

The included 90-minute waiting period starts at actual landing, not when you reach the arrivals lobby. Flight tracking adjusts for a delayed landing; it does not make immigration or baggage delays unlimited. Contact the team while you are delayed. Your chauffeur meets you in the public arrivals lobby after customs, at the confirmed meeting point.
